Com o final da jornada 1 temos o primeiro verdadeiro líder dos Bitaites. Hugo Caseira de seu nome, um verdadeiro apaixonado do futebol. Deixo-vos uma pequena entrevista com o próprio:
Reporter: Problemas técnicos, ficheiros errados, resultados em falta. Houve de tudo na tua inscrição e aqui estamos ao final da 1 jornada em na liderança dos Bitaites. Qual foi o segredo da preparação para chegares aqui?
Hugo: Verdade. Deixei tudo para a noite de véspera do arranque do Euro. E por isso é que me troquei todo. Confesso que li a entrevista ao vencedor da última edição dos Bitaites e fixei a parte do "não pensar muito e apostar na primeira coisa que vem à cabeça". Depois há uma história que aproveito para partilhar sobre a minha capacidade enquanto visionário. Em maio de 2016, na sequência da convocatória para o Euro, em que havia a polémica de se ter convocado Éder em detrimento de André Silva, referi no meu núcleo de amigos mais próximos que não só iríamos ser campeões europeus, como seria com um golo do Éder.
R: Estás na liderança e partes na pole position para o que resta dos grupos. Quais são as tuas expectativas a partir daqui?
H: Acredito que, na sequência da resposta anterior, agora é sempre a descer. Atingi o meu momento de glória.
R: Do que viste do Euro quais foram até agora as tuas seleções favoritas e aquelas que te desapontaram?
H: Confesso que o jogo de Portugal foi o único que tive oportunidade de ver por completo. Acho que não houve nenhuma Seleção que se tenha destacado. E ainda é prematuro avaliar. A Alemanha entrou bem e com goleada, ainda que as circunstâncias do jogo ajudaram a isso. Acho que lhe fez bem o fim do reinado do Joachim Low. Gostei a espaços da Inglaterra (foi o único jogo que ainda consegui ver um pouco). A Bélgica e Croácia desiludiram pelos resultados obtidos, mas creio que o nível exibicional não fez jus. Veremos como irão reagir a esta má entrada.
R: Por último, o que esperas da prestação portuguesa?
H: Eu sofro muito com a Seleção. Admito-o. E estou sempre à espera do pior cenário. Talvez seja uma forma de me defender, para melhor ultrapassar o momento de desilusão. Conforme os meus bitaites, creio que não iremos além dos quartos de final. Temos um excelente conjunto de jogadores, mas tardamos em conseguir fazer um bom colectivo. Não tenho confiança em Roberto Martinez para que saiba colocar as peças certas nos lugares certos.

With the end of the first round, we have the first true leader of the Bitaites. Hugo Caseira, his name, a true football enthusiast. Here’s a brief interview with him:
Reporter: Technical problems, wrong files, missing results. You had it all during your registration, and here we are at the end of the first round with you leading the Bitaites. What was the secret to your preparation to get here?
Hugo: It's true. I left everything for the night before the Euro started. And that's why I got all mixed up. I confess that I read the interview with the winner of the last Bitaites edition and remembered the part about "not thinking too much and betting on the first thing that comes to mind". Then there's a story I'd like to share about my abilities as a visionary. In May 2016, following the call-up for the Euro, when there was controversy about Éder being called up instead of André Silva, I told my close friends that not only would we be European champions, but it would be with a goal from Éder.
R: You're in the lead and in pole position for the rest of the group stage. What are your expectations from here on out?
H: I believe that, following my previous answer, it's all downhill from here. I've reached my moment of glory.
R: From what you've seen of the Euro, which teams have been your favorites so far and which ones have disappointed you?
H: I confess that the Portugal game was the only one I had the chance to watch in full. I don't think any team has stood out yet. It's still too early to judge. Germany started well with a big win, although the circumstances of the game helped. I think the end of Joachim Low's reign did them good. I liked England in parts (it was the only other game I managed to catch a bit of). Belgium and Croatia disappointed with their results, but I think their performances were better than what the result showed. We'll see how they respond to this poor start.
R: Finally, what do you expect for Portugal?
H: I suffer a lot with the national team. I admit it. And I'm always expecting the worst-case scenario. Maybe it's a way to protect myself, to better overcome moments of disappointment. As per my predictions, I don't think we'll go beyond the quarterfinals. We have an excellent group of players, but we struggle to form a good team. I don't have confidence in Roberto Martinez to put the right pieces in the right places.
