O dia abriu com mais uma surpresa, desta feita a Croácia que ve agora a sua vida bastante dificultada para seguir em frente. Depois de entrarem praticamente a perder, conseguiram a remontada em 2 minutos para acabarem a sofrer já nos descontos. Um empate que a juntar à derrota inicial os deixa num terreno pantanoso para o último jogo frente à Itália. A Alemanha nao desiludiu e com a ajuda da equipa de arbitragem venceu a Hungria por 2-0. Por fim um empate entre Escócia e Suica num jogo algo equilibrado em que o resultado se adequa bastante ao que se passou em campo.

The day began with yet another surprise, this time with Croatia now seeing their chances of progressing significantly complicated. After starting the match almost immediately on the back foot, they managed to come back in 2 minutes only to concede again in stoppage time. A draw that, combined with their initial defeat, leaves them on shaky ground for the last match against Italy. Germany did not disappoint and, with the help of the referees, defeated Hungary 2-0.
